Redlining A Wealth Tool

When you start to dig into the institutional racism in America, you must take note of the tools used to control wealth. Redlining is one of the major tools used that are still in place today. Not only used in housing and home ownership, but also in banking and insurance.

Black People, people of color, non-white immigrants, and even low income whites are consistently offered high interest loans for purchasing real estate, cars, and businesses in areas that have designated as redlined. This practice was created by governments and to date still exists and is still legal.

The result is that white wealth continues to increase while poverty increases exponentially!
